ella and her husband Klaus (Rudolf Kowalski) have moved from the north of Germany to Bavaria to be closer to their children Hilke, Momme and Fine. Jella and Klaus have both recently retired and now have more time for each other again - no small challenge, as it soon turns out. Jella begins to wonder why her children have not yet have children of their own. To help things along a little, Jella treats her daughter Hilke and her husband Franz to a weekend in a luxury hotel. The plan however backfires. But Jella also interferes in the lives of daughter Fine and son Momme. All the while, she is overlooking the fact that it is her marriage that is most at risk. After all, how can two people who are alone again for the first time in a long time find each other?
