Part 1: The Horsewhisperer
Rike only planned to return to her family's horse farm in Bavaria for a short time to attend her father's funeral. She has been living in the USA for years, where she trains wild horses. Rike realizes however that the farm is on the verge of ruin due to the mismanagement of her older brother, Ferdinand. Rike's mother Elsa quickly recognizes Rike's skills with horses and supports her. Rike desperately needs this, because Christian - Rike's highschool sweetheart and the family's banker - has lost his trust in the farm. To save the equestrian farm, Rike relies on a tournament success with stallion Jacomo. But the horse refuses to compete and Rike realizes that Jacomo has been traumatized by brutal training methods. The family's future is in her hands.
Part 2: Fight for Jacomo
For the first time, Rike has stood up to her family. From now on, she will be in charge of the Wildenstein equestrian farm. Ferdinand doesn't like this and threatens to take away Rike's best and dearest horse: Jacomo. While Rike is looking for a solution, she misses an injury of the school horse Philomena, resulting in a dangerous riding accident. Left alone by her family, Rike receives unexpected help from policeman Jan Meier and troubled teenager Tabea.
