Part 5: Jacomo and the Wolf
Turmoil at the equestrian farm "Wildenstein": wolves have settled in the nearby forest. The entire community is upended - opponents fear for the lives of people and animals and clash with conservationists who are in favor of the wolves' settlement. In the middle of it all: Rike Wildenstein.
Horses can sense emotions, Rike explains to her riding student Sabine. The cruelty of the animal world however becomes evident when Sabine's husband Kaspar finds several killed sheep. While veterinarian Georg and policeman Jan investigate the incident, Kaspar is certain that it must have been wolves! Meanwhile Rike meets a charming stranger named Moritz, who soon turns out to be a wolf researcher. And when Moritz begins to quarrel with Kaspar, Rike unexpectedly finds herself caught in the crossfire.
Part 6: Leap For Life
Rike and her apprentice Tabea spot a stray horse in the nearby forest. The beautiful stallion is in a critical state of health. Rescuing the horse causes serious problems for Tabea, who has a criminal record and whose work at Wildenstein is part of court-ordered probation. Tabea misses - not for the first time - a class at the vocational school. Shortly afterwards, an incident occurs during which she hits her teacher. Now Tabea is facing the return to juvenile detention. The future horse trainer not only blames herself, but also her boss: Rike. In order to give Tabea one last chance in front of the juvenile court judge Kaltenhoff, Rike involves her entire social circle, including her new acquaintance Moritz who she persuades to develop a special anti-aggression training program for Tabea.
